TORRINGTON – Growing up on a farm outside of Huntley, Wyoming, Brittany Weglin learned early that hard work wasn’t optional — it was simply part of life.

“Growing up, I spent a lot of time riding in the tractor with my dad helping set water for irrigating,” she said.

Life revolved around crops — “dry beans, sugar beets, a lot of sugar beets” — and whatever livestock the family happened to be raising at the time.

“My parents (Todd and Kristy) were fairly young compared to the parents around me,” Weglin said. “Everybody worked on the farm. Everybody helped. Everybody was involved. So, it just became what you did. That’s where the work ethic comes from. It was a part of you.”
