OBITUARY: Jackie Lee ‘Jack’ Lundgren

With great sadness, Jackie Lee “Jack” Lundgren passed on Saturday, October 9th, in Windsor, Colorado, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born June 13, 1942 in Scottsbluff, NE to Elmer and Elsa (Steinmark) Lundgren.

Jack graduated in 1960 from Bayard High School. After high school, he spent several years as a deliveryman for Culligan Soft Water, Fairmont Foods, Miller Standard Oil, and L&M Distributing.

Jack and his wife, Barbara, owned and operated the Bowl Arena, for 23 years, fulfilling his lifelong dream. His love and enjoyment was spending time being at the bowling alley with the bowlers, especially the Special Olympians.

During his younger years, he spent his time fishing, playing fast pitch softball, golfing, and bowling.

He was a dedicated family man and would help others any way he could.

Jack is survived by his wife Barbara (Steinmiller) Lundgren of 57 years, and his two daughters, Leann and John Maser of Lincoln NE and Jaci Griffee of Windsor, CO His four grandsons, John Hunter (fiancé, Gina) Maser and Luke Maser, Lincoln, NE, Andrew Bartow, Cambridge MA, Chris and Meghan Bartow, Greeley, CO and great grandson, Kaiden. Only Granddaughter or Pizza and Pepsi Delivery girl, Regan Bartow, Windsor CO. Sister, Janet and Rick Schwartzkopf, Greeley CO, Brother in law’s – Ron and Melita Steinmiller, Chandler, AZ and Lawrence and Barb Steinmiller, Morsetown, MN.

His parents precede Jack in death.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 10 AM, Calvary Lutheran Church, Scottsbluff NE.

Memorials can be made to the family for the Bowling Special Olympics in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel.
