Kenneth J. Buxbaum Sr., 73, of Bayard, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Mitchell, surrounded by his loving family. Cremation has taken place and services along with inurnment at the Bayard Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials may be made in care of the family and will be designated later. Kenneth was born June 23, 1948 in Glendive, Montana to John and Rosalie (Lochmann) Buxbaum. He married Geraldine K. Call in May of 1974.
He was employed as a farm hand throughout his life. Ken also did mechanic work on the side and did over-the-road piggyback truck driving. Kenneth worked with his hands and was very crafty. He liked to stay busy tinkering on different projects and fixing things at home or on the farms. Kenneth was a talented guitar player as well.
He was strong-willed, yet, had a goofy side. Kenneth enjoyed telling jokes especially when with his brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; mother, Rosalie Lochmann; children, Kristine (Scott) Busskohl, Rebecca Hirnschall, Kenneth (Cherri) Buxbaum Jr., Russell (Lindsey Edmonds) Buxbaum, and Frank Fries; nineteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Roland (Maxine) Buxbaum, Judy Roth, and Penne (Lyle) Claussen; sisters-in-law, Jeanette (Ray) Dorman and Norma Call; along with other extended family members and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, John; brothers, Robert, LeRoy and Ricky; and sister, Gloria Young.
