Paul was born December 18, 1934 at Nevada City, California to Henry Fernand and Nina Berle (Redfield) Lage. He grew up in Goodyear, California in the Sierra Mountains. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 9, 1952 and served until his honorable discharge on February 5, 1956. He received the National Defense Service Medal.
Paul married Conchita in San Francisco, CA where they made their home for several years. Paul drove bus and later taxi for several companies in San Francisco. He also owned a bar in Sierra, California. He moved to Kansas and later settled in Bridgeport in 2001. One of the main reasons he chose Bridgeport to live was because of the numerous ponds, streams, and lakes that he could do what he enjoyed doing the most – fishing.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
