Ronald was born October 22, 1943 in Scottsbluff. Ron held a few different jobs over the years with the most recent being a custodian at Bluff’s Middle School. Ron took great pride in his work and everything he did. He loved to spend time with his family. Fall Saturdays you could always count on Ron to be watching and cheering for his favorite team, the Huskers. Ron enjoyed watching NASCAR and tinkering around the house. Quite possibly his favorite past time was taking out his boat, fishing and camping in the summer. Ron was a quiet man of few words, but loved his family fiercely.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry (Brown) Rutter; daughters, Lynn Barrett, Sherry Hudson, Elaine Gevara, Angel Palmer and Andiera Bates; son, Dael Rutter; sister, Bonnie (Bruce) Sample; brothers, Doug (Janice) Rutter and Randy (Vicki) Rutter; numerous nieces and nephews; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lloyd Rutter and Frieda Elizabeth (Rose) Rutter; sister, Carol McCollum; brother, Hal Rutter; four nephews; and beloved dog, “Rat”.

Ron’s last message to his loved ones was, “Goodbye. I will miss you all. Good wishes!!”
