Oregon Trail Community Foundation Ukraine Relief Fund update

Oregon Trail Community Foundation Press Release

The Oregon Trail Community Foundation launched the “Lend Your Heart to Ukraine” relief fund on March 5, 2022 at the OTCF Ag Recognition and Awards Banquet with a Silent Auction.

Since then, this humanitarian effort has had widespread support from our community, and even as far East as Cozad, NE. With this support, we have raised $51,000 for humanitarian relief for Ukraine thus far.

The OTCF Ukraine relief fund is partnering with Airlink, a rapid-response humanitarian relief organization that connects airlines and pre-qualified nonprofits to help communities in crisis. Hod Kosman, OTCF Board member and President/CEO of Platte Valley Bank says:

“The people of Ukraine need medical and humanitarian supplies delivered to the neighboring countries that have come to their aid. Airlink delivers people and humanitarian products to all those wonderful countries; A bit of sunshine in a very dark time.”

Currently, Airlink is responding to the Ukraine Crisis with the help of their NGO and airline partners. As nearly three million Ukrainians have fled their homes, Airlink has sent 128 responders with over 200,000 pounds of medical supplies and humanitarian aid to Moldova, Poland and into Ukraine. Our local OTCF Ukraine Fund has helped fund this effort; getting the supplies and responders to where they’re needed most.

Thanks to support like yours, Airlink has new significant shipments of relief aid launching on continually. They’ll carry the heart of your community with them to the people of
Ukraine.
” Sandra Walter, Director of Development, Airlink & the Airlink team
