Mason West shares his journey going from crippling anxiety to helping youth find God’s purpose for their lives at Northfield Church in Gering.

GERING – As the youth director at Northfield Church in Gering since 2018, Mason West’s primary goal is to help teens know Jesus.
West’s wife, Lesley, had grown up at Northfield Church and the pair were drawn back to it when they began to turn to God to restore their marriage.
“My wife and I’s first year of marriage was definitely difficult,” said West. “We were both super young, not really ready to be married, and she also got pregnant that first year so it was definitely hard. But man we both recognized that the only way we were going to be able to get through it was by putting God at the center of our marriage. And instead of trying to change the annoying parts about each other, we began to pray for each other. This turned our marriage completely around.”
