Q: Talk about how your final high school track and field season went.
REMPP: “It went pretty well. I started triple jumping just this year. I thought it would be fun to compete in a field event. It was definitely different compared to what I’ve been doing; I just competed in running events before this year. I’m glad I decided to do that. Also, our 4×800 relay team made it to state. We finished 12th overall. It was really exciting to make it to state again. All around, it was a good season.”
Q: Were you also pleased with how your final basketball season went?
REMPP: “We weren’t sure how things would go this year because of everything going on with COVID, but it definitely turned out way better than a lot of people thought it would. We made it to districts, and we played one of the top teams in the state at districts, so that was exciting. We didn’t make it to state, but it was still a really good season overall.”
Q: How excited were you to be chosen for the Panhandle Prep All-Star Basketball Game?
REMPP: “I was really excited about that. As I got older [in high school] I thought it would be a lot of fun if I ever had a chance to compete in that game. I’m really happy that I was selected.”
