YODER, Wyo. – Tate Carson of Torrington, a senior at Southeast High School in Yoder, is Nspire Today!’s Male Athlete of the Month for March, sponsored by Kristy Culek Agency, LLC-American Family Insurance. For being named an athlete of the month, Carson will receive a gift card for a free drink at Scooter’s Coffee. Carson is one of the top wrestlers in the region, and he won a state championship at 195 pounds in February at the Wyoming state tournament. His final record this season was 38-11. He placed second at state wrestling his junior year and was fifth his sophomore year. He also competed in football (wide receiver, quarterback, fullback, linebacker, and defensive tackle). He was named all-conference and all-state last fall. He also plays Legion baseball for the WESTCO Zephyrs in Scottsbluff. He’s in his fourth year with the WESTCO program. Other school activities he’s involved in are 4-H and student council. His GPA is 3.8. His parents are Darrin and Wendy.
