Giles Hovseth, a Scottsbluff native, chased his writing dreams to Los Angeles, but they led him back home

SCOTTSBLUFF – As a content writer for Spotify, Giles Hovseth has managed to make a career out of writing while still being able to live in the place of his choosing – his hometown, Scottsbluff.
Hovseth began writing for fun in the sixth grade but didn’t start thinking of it as a potential career until his junior year of college.
“I was tired of spending all of my time playing video games and wanted to be productive with my free time. I had some ideas for a TV show, so I looked up how to start screenwriting,” Hovseth said. “I enjoyed it so much, I’d keep writing even if I wasn’t getting paid. So, I decided I might as well try to get paid.”
