  • Bands on Broadway on the 18th Plaza in downtown Scottsbluff; 6-9 p.m.; performances are by High Horses and The Victory Underground; many businesses in downtown Scottsbluff will be open on this day until 6 p.m.
  • New exhibit starts at West Nebraska Arts Center in Scottsbluff, “Resilience – The President’s Show,” exhibit runs from July 1 to Aug. 1

Friday, July 2

  • “F9 – The Fast Saga is Back!,” 9 p.m. at Midwest SkyView Drive-in in Scottsbluff, for more information, go to midwesttheater.com.
  • Western Wildlife Art Show at Fort Robinson State Park, July 2-4; The annual Western Wildlife Art Show typically features 25-30 artists whose work reflects the show’s name – western and wildlife themes. Held in conjunction with the Crawford Fourth of July celebration, the art show is located at Fort Robinson State Park in the Vet Building and attracts thousands of visitors each year. Doors will be open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. July 2-3 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 4. State park stickers are required.

Front-row seats for lawn chair viewing or stay in your car viewing; pre-show food trucks, entertainment & more. Free admission, although free-will donations are encouraged to help fund the only large-scale fireworks show in the Gering/Scottsbluff area.
