KIMBALL – Kimball’s Corey Gardner, a senior at Kimball High School, has been named Nspire Today!’s Male Student of the Month for September, sponsored by 16th Empire Restaurant in Scottsbluff. He’s involved in football, choir, show choir, speech, Quiz Bowl, math team, and One Act. Outside of school, he’s involved in the WNCC Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success. He has a 3.8 GPA. After high school, he wants to attend college, and he’s leaning toward going to Doane University in Crete. He wants to double major in math and communications. His mom is Annette Brower.

Q: How excited are you about your senior year of school?

GARDNER: “I’m pretty excited about it. I was a little nervous, but so far everything has been going pretty smooth. I thought it might be a little more rough because of the classes I’m taking, but so far it’s been a breeze.”

Q: Which school activity do you enjoy the most?

GARDNER: “I really enjoy speech because I’m a big fan of public speaking. I think everyone should learn public speaking. Being able to speak to large groups of people is important.”

The entire Q&A with Corey is in the September 2020 issue of Nspire Today! magazine. To sign up for a one-year subscription (12 issues), you may send $15 to Nspire Today!, P.O.
