NSPRING YOUTH: Alliance senior on pace ‘to do something really special’

Jayden McCracken, a senior at Alliance High School, said his family has always encouraged him to get excellent grades in school, and he’s done just that as he’s pretty much been a straight A student over the years. Although he’s excited to graduate from high school in May with a very high GPA, his drive to excel academically won’t stop there. That’s because his biggest dream is to become the first person in his family to graduate from college since his grandpa achieved that feat nearly 60 years ago.

ALLIANCE – Throughout his years in school, Jayden McCracken of Alliance has never had any trouble getting motivated to get good grades.

A big reason, he said, is that his parents, Kirsten and Matthew McCracken, have always stressed the importance of getting good grades.

“They’re not super strict about it; they just want me to always do my best,” said the younger McCracken, who’s a senior now at Alliance High School. “I’ve kind of looked at it as a personal challenge. I wanted to show them that I could do well in school. I wanted to make them proud.”
