Russell Eugene Neal II, 59, of Gering, Russell II passed away peacefully with his daughters Barbara and Delisha by his side on December 3, 2021 after a battle with COVID-19. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at The Rock Church in Scottsbluff. Russell Eugene Neal II was born December 18, 1961, in Sacramento, California, to Russell Eugene Neal I, and Margaret Mary Karakas and received his early education in the Sacramento Public Schools, graduating from Omochumnes Alternative High School. He made his home in the Panhandle of Nebraska in 1998.
He was an admirable man who enjoyed riding his Harley, which he named “Dr. Russ.” He was in a rock band and loved playing his drums. He was a “jack of all trades” and a perfectionist in everything he did. His favorite things were spending time with his daughters and grandson, working on projects, drawing, watching endless Nexflix shows with his dogs, and cooking meals for his family, one in particular, his famous Grandma’s noodles.
Russell II is survived by his daughters Tawyna, Kaylee, Barbara, and Delisha; his son Russell III; Grandchildren Jessica, Russell IV, Jordan, Elias, and Karly; and sisters Margie and Kathy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie, and his Father, Russell I and his beloved dogs, Chico and Chato.
