Yarnell is involved in National Honor Society, Link Crew, Key Club, Math Club, HOSA, Bearcats Committed, and track and field. He has a 4.0-plus GPA. After he graduates from high school, he plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney and major in pre-health. His parents are Robert and Krysilen Yarnell. For being named a student of the month, Seth will receive a gift certificate for a free meal at 16th Empire Restaurant.

Q: How has your senior year of school been going?

YARNELL: “It’s been going very well. The teachers have definitely been trying to make it as enjoyable as they can with everything going on right now. The main thing is we’ve gotten to have a senior year, so I can’t complain about anything.”

Q: Has this school year seemed a lot different to you because you’re a senior?

YARNELL: “Yes, for sure. It’s gone by incredibly fast in anticipation of graduation and getting ready for college.”

Q: What is your favorite activity at school?

YARNELL: “I would say Math Club is my favorite activity. It’s extremely fun because I get to talk with other people who enjoy mathematics. Even though we’ve had a lot of stuff cancelled this year, we didn’t slow down. We still had a lot of practices. I really enjoy mathematics. I wouldn’t say Math Club is hard, but there is some challenging stuff. It’s fun to overcome those challenges and do it with your friends.”

The entire Q&A with Yarnell is in the March 2021 issue of Nspire Today! magazine. To sign up for a one-year subscription (12 issues), you may send $15 to Nspire Today!, P.O.
