Bill spent his life working hard from his beginning on the farm to his many years working for Brown Beans/Kelley Bean Co. and the Western Sugar Company. He was always a helper. Whether it was farm work, mechanic work or simply helping a neighbor in need, Bill was there. Friday, he received the reward for his work on earth.
He enjoyed all kinds of sports and in his down time it was not unusual to find Bill watching a Husker game, a boxing match, Westco Baseball or WNCC Basketball. He spent many summer afternoons as the umpire on a softball field. Bill loved his grandchildren. He went to as many of their sporting events and school programs as he was able. His grandkids will always remember grandpa’s silly sense of humor and dry wit. They know that he “loved” Chihuahua dogs and they will never forget why he didn’t believe in Santa Claus. They will remember walking to Scotty’s to get malts and picnics in the park on his lunch breaks in Morrill.
Bill is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Lana Baker; son, Justin Stoll; grandchildren, Ashlynn Baker, Amelia Stoll, Weston Stoll and Adeline Stoll; one brother, Roy (Vicky) Stoll; niece, Cheryl Stoll-Koob; nephew, Evan Stoll; and great nephew, Jordy Koob.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Rolland and Dortha Stoll; son in law, Josh Baker; and infant granddaughter, Adaira Stoll.
