GERING – When Nora Fuentes of Gering saw commercials for edible fruit arrangements, she realized it was something she could offer to the community. Today she owns a home-based business known as “Berry Sweet.”

Nora, 33, has lived in Gering for 15 years and says she loves the community she calls home. Even though her family keeps her busy, she still has time to enjoy her business adventure, which she started in October 2019.

She is the mother of two active boys: Aden, who is 10, and two-year-old Adric. She and her loving partner, Carlos Galindo, are expecting a little girl in May. She has three stepchildren: Navaeh, who is 12; Carlos Jr., who is 10; and 8-year-old Adrian.

“We have a big family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she said. “They keep us on our toes. Carlos and Nora have been together four years. “Together, we’re a team, and we’re surrounded by so many blessings, love and our littles.”

Nora said once she started her business, it just took off, and since then she has enjoyed making sweet treats for her customers.
